Labour Court upholds £500 settlement after Pizza Hut worker’s unfair dismissal

Labour Court ·

The Labour Court upheld a recommendation for an appropriate reference and £500 after finding that Pizza Hut unfairly dismissed a worker. The decision was signed on 9 May 2000.

Pizza Hut said the worker was dismissed over giving food to customers and failing to complete records. The Court did not accept that the dishonesty allegation had been established, and found that even the lesser complaint would not have warranted dismissal. It upheld the recommendation and disallowed both appeals.
