Proposal for 9 homes

for the formation of a new vehicular access and junction onto the L5062 that bounds the site to the west and the construction of 33 no. dwellings, as follows: A 4-storey apartment block to provide 24 no. apartments (comprising 4 no. 1 bedroom units; 16 no. 2 bedroom units and 4 no. 3 bedroom units). All ground floor apartments will have private terraces and all apartments on the upper floors will have balconies. Communal Open Spaces to serve the apartments are provided to the east and west of the block totalling 221 sq.m in area. 9 no. two-storey (with attic accommodation), 4-bedroom houses comprising 1 no. detached house and 4 no. semi-detached pairs (8 no. houses). All houses benefit from in-curtilage car parking to the front and private rear gardens. A single storey secure bicycle (48 no. spaces) and waste / bin store is provided to the east of the apartment block to serve the apartment. A total of 16 no. covered visitor cycle parking spaces are provided to the south of the apartment block in 2 no. locations. A total of 1,008 sq.m of landscaped public open space is provided which includes a children’s play area at the northern end of the site. A total of 23 no. on-street car parking spaces are provided along the internal vehicular access road(s) serving the development. Other associated site and infrastructural works include site clearance and ground works (including tree removal); hard and soft landscaping works (including boundary treatment works); external lighting; the provision for water services; the provision of surface water drainage infrastructure (including bio-retention area within public open space) and the provision of foul drainage infrastructure (including a foul pumping station) and all associated site development works to serve the proposed housing development.
