PROTECTED STRUCTURE Ampbay Limited intend to apply for permission for development on lands at The Paramount Hotel, No’s. 27-30 Parliament Street (No’s. 27 & 28 Protected Structures) Dublin 2, 1-2 Essex Gate (Both Protected Structures) Dublin 8, and 7-10 Exchange Street Upper (No’s. 9 & 10 being Protected Structures) Dublin 8. The proposed development consists of the following works at No’s. 9-10 Exchange St. Upper (Protected Structures), 1 Essex Gate (Protected Structure), and 7-8 Exchange St. Upper only: (a) Internal alteration works at basement and ground floor level to include the removal of 2 no. WC’s at basement level; removal of the existing kitchen, office and store areas at ground floor level; removal of the existing staircase and some wall partitions at both basement and ground floor levels; (b) The development provides for the addition of a meeting room, 2 no. WC’s, a laundry room, and a restaurant at basement level; and the provision of 9 no. new en-suite hotel bedrooms at ground floor level; (c) External alterations at No. 7-8 Exchange St. Upper includes removal of the existing courtyard raised roof and replacement with a new roof to align with adjacent roof profile and the installation of a new rooflight. The overall development will result in a hotel bedroom count of 75 no. bedrooms (66 existing and 9 proposed) and includes all associated site development works.
