The following requirements of the Conservation Division shall be adhered to: b) Prior to the commencement of the development, the applicant shall submit for the written approval of the planning authority: (i) Revised drawings to show the retention of meaningful end nibs of the demolished side wall of the return at lower ground floor level. (ii) Updated drawings to provide a lime-based render to the side elevations of the extension. (iii) Photographic samples of the proposed brick for use in the rear elevation of the extension. (iv) Updated drawings to specify the proposed windows and doors to the rear extension. New windows and doors shall be high-quality timber or metal. The use of uPVC units is not supported by the Conservation Section. (v) Revised drawings to provide rectangular conservation rooflights (portrait orientation) to the side of the return roof and the hip of the principal roof. (vi) A revised set of drawings to show the removal of the dry-lining and mineral wool insulation from solid walls and to provide a strategy for the repair of wall surfaces with lime plaster / naturally insulated lime plaster (i.e. cork or hemp lime)/ calcium silicate boards where to solid external walls where no decorative plasterwork survives. (vii) The conditions attached to the permitted development (Ref: WEB2025/24) shall be fully complied with.
