6. The Developer shall comply with the following conservation requirements of the Planning Authority: b) In advance of works commencing on site, the applicant shall submit the following to the Planning Authority, for their written agreement: a. A method statement for the proposed repairs to the laylight, including joinery and stained glass repairs, b. A specification for the proposed internal lighting to the laylight which shall avoid direct contact with the historic glazing. The proposed illumination shall be a warm colour tone appropriate for the Protected Structure, c.RAL colours for the proposed redecoration scheme throughout including colours to the ceilings, laylight, windows to Prices Lane and the shopfront to Westmoreland Street, d. The existing door ironmongery shall be retained where possible. Where replacement is necessary, visual samples of the proposed ironmongery shall be submitted, e. 1:5 fixing details for the proposed window display signage, showing how the signage would be affixed without any adverse impact on historic fabric. Photographic exemplars of the proposed window signage, showing the colour tone for the lighting and details of the method of illumination, f. The proposed illumination of the external uplighters shall be revised to be a warmer colour tone appropriate for the façade of the Protected Structure. Specifications and photographic exemplars of the proposed light fittings shall be submitted. g. A detailed services strategy shall be submitted. New service routes shall utilise existing where possible to reduce impact on historic fabric, h. The digital display shall be omitted from the Garden Room (Rooms 1 & 8) and the Front Room (Room 5) and relocated to the Transition Zone (Room 4) at the centre of the ground floor. c) In advance of the respective packages of work commencing on site, the applicant shall submit the following samples and documentation to the Planning Authority, for their written agreement: a. Sample area of all proposed plaster repairs (that shall be NHL 2) b. Sample areas of paint removal to joinery including internal laylight and external shopfront. All effort shall be made to reinstate the original varnished finish of the shopfront to restore the original special architectural character of the Protected Structure. c. Sample areas of cleaning and repair to the mosaic / tiled surfaces to be undertaken by a specialist conservator.
