4. Prior to the commencement of development, details of the materials, colours and textures of all external finishes including samples, shall be submitted to and agreed in writing by the Planning Authority. Samples of the proposed materials for the extension, which shall be complementary in colour and texture to the existing material palette of the Protected Structure, shall be included. On the rendered sections of the elevation, the building shall be given the appearance of a lime render or finished in a manner that is considerably softer and more traditional than a modern render as this would be more appropriate to protect the special architectural character and setting of the Protected Structure.
