EXPP: The proposed works comprise the demolition of an existing single-storey rear kitchen extension to a dwelling and its reconstruction following necessary ground and drainage remediation works. The existing extension has suffered structural damage due to differential settlement caused by a defective foul sewer line beneath the property, resulting in subsidence and the need for demolition and reinstatement. Works include repair and/or replacement of the defective sewer and associated ground and foundation remediation. The extension will be reconstructed on a like-for-like basis within the existing footprint, maintaining all existing dimensions, roof profile, and overall form. No increase in floor area is proposed, and there is no change to the existing use or site layout. The development is limited to reinstatement of the existing kitchen extension following remediation of the underlying structural defect.
