Permission is sought for the extension and change of use of mid terrace former Public House (with vacant residential unit overhead), to provide 7 apartments and a small commercial unit at 26/27 Douglas Street, Cork City. The development site area is 0.0294 hectares. The proposal will include; (1) Modifications to the North Elevation to Douglas Street. (2) Demolition of existing extensions to the rear of both properties. (3) The reinstatement of number 26 Douglas Street with a raised ridge level and elevation modifications. (4) Modifications to the internal floor plans to accommodate a small commercial unit at ground floor level and 3 apartments within the existing structures. 5) A new rooflight to front façade of number 27 Douglas Street, conservation and restoration works including the repair of the existing roof, existing dormer windows and façade. (6) A new 4 storey extension to the south to provide 4 apartment units. (7) A communal landscape garden to the rear of the existing structures. 8) Bin storage, 8 number bike parking spaces, drainage, plant, landscaping, and all associated site development works.
