What's proposed
to carry out, as part of the "Safe Routes To School" scheme, the following development: • Construction of 80m of new footpath on the northern side of the L2094 Local Rd. • Footpath improvement of 100m on the south side of the L2094 Local Rd. • Installation of 1 No. controlled pedestrian crossing at the school and 2 No. unconditional pedestrian crossings, one to the north and one to the south, all of these will be raised crossings. • Installation of 3 No. speed ramps on the L2094 Local Rd. • Installation of new pencil bollards on new and existing paths, and “School Zone” road markings. • Installation of ow-level planting areas. • Mini-Bus Set own Area. • Provision of associated Signage and Road Markings including high friction skid resistance surfacing. • All associated and ancillary site works. In accordance with the Birds and Natural Habitats Directive, Screening for Appropriate Assessment has been carried out on the project. An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) screening statement has been prepared and concludes that there is no real likelihood of significant effects on the environment arising from the proposed development.
