Site of former derelict houses to be developed into three apartments by Wexford County Council
Wexford PeopleA site formerly occupied by derelict houses is to be used to develop three 2-bed apartments in Wexford town. Situated on the corner of Clifford Street and Bride Street the site is directly adjoined by two-storey terraced houses and was subject to previous derelict and dangerous sites action by Wexford County Council.
The council propose to develop three apartments at the site each with a total internal floor space of approximately 81 sq metres and a balcony or terrace for private outdoor amenity space. No car parking is proposed within the application site as it is considered that there is sufficient parking within the area.
During the consultation phase there were no submissions made regarding the development and, as it is considered to be in compliance with the policies and objectives of the Wexford County Development Plan, WCC has recommended that the development proceed as proposed.
The proposed development was brought to councillors at the September meeting of WCC and was passed unanimously.
