Locals and visitors to one north Tipperary town will soon be able to get coffee on the go as work has started on Tipperary’s newest drive-thru.

Costa Coffee have commenced work on a drive-thru lane for their outlet in the Springfort Retail Park in Nenagh having been granted planning permission for the development by Tipperary County Council in February.

The development will see a drive-thru hatch and drive-thru lane built, with one order station, and two menu boards, as well as an extension to existing emergency and general lighting, an extension of the existing fire alarm, laying of floor finishes, erection of internal stud wall partitions, installation of prefabricated feature joinery items such as balustrades, coffee counter, as well as internal decoration.

The commencement of works at the north Tipperary coffee chain outlet was confirmed on social media by Nenagh Labour Party councillor Louise Morgan Walsh.

A pedestrian crossing will also be created, according to Cllr Moran Walsh, while 50 car parking spaces will be removed as part of the creation of the drive-thru, as well as a redesign of the carpark and the relocation of cycle parking.
