Tipperary road set to temporarily close ‘as a matter of urgency’

A Tipperary road is set to close as a matter of urgency to facilitate the installation of some new water pipes.
Tipperary County Council will close the L3279 between Rathronan Cross and Clashaniska in Clonmel until early September.
The road will close from midnight on Tuesday, (August 19) until Friday, September 5 at 11.59pm.
The closure is to facilitate the installation of two new watermains and repurposing of the existing pipeline.
The council have said that diversions will be in place for the duration of the closure, with motorists being asked to use the R689, N24 and R688 roads instead.
