Tipperary locals should ‘paint the county blue and gold’ to get behind hurling and camogie teams after All-Ireland qualification

There have been calls for people across Tipperary to paint the county blue and gold following the hurling team’s All-Ireland Hurling Semi-Final win over Kilkenny on Sunday, and the camogie team’s qualification for the All-Ireland semi-final.
Tipperary’s hurlers will now face Cork in the All-Ireland Final on July 20, with a local representative calling on the people of Tipperary to get behind the team and show their support ahead of the match.
Tipperary’s camogie players will face Galway in the semi-final in a few weeks’ time.
Independent councillor John O’Heney has called on people across the county to paint Tipperary blue and gold ahead of the All-Ireland Final later this month.
"Our fantastic senior hurling team and camogie team had a brilliant weekend reaching the All-Ireland Final and All-Ireland Semi Finals respectively. Now we must do our bit to support them,” Cllr O’Heney said.
"Let's paint Tipperary blue and gold over the next few weeks in the build up to both big matches. Put out your flags, decorate your windows and put up the bunting”.
Cllr O’Heney also added that he had spoken to Tipperary County Council about the possibility of putting up some bunting in towns across the county.
An update on this will follow, according to the independent councillor.
