More than 1,000 Tipperary homes and businesses remain without power

A number of faults across the county are listed on the ESB’s Power Check website, showing outages across West Tipperary and further afield.
The largest outage is affecting 976 customers supplied by the Kilross Road station, with the ESB expecting power to be restored to 473 customers by 3.15pm today (Wednesday, September 30).
There is currently no estimated restoration time for the remaining 503 customers affected by the fault. Earlier faults in the Emly area affecting over 300 customers have already been restored by crews.
Outside Tipperary town, 11 customers supplied by the Garranacanty supply are without electricity, with power expected to return by 4.15pm this afternoon.
Another 42 customers in the Bansha area, also supplied by Garranacanty, have no power, with their supply slated to return at 3pm, while a further 72 customers also supplied by this station are due to have power back at 4.15pm.
In Cahir, 89 customers supplied by the Cahir station are without power, while another 182 customers in Clerihan supplied by the Lawlesstown station have no electricity.
In Faugheen, outside Carrick-on-Suir, 147 homes and businesses are without electricity, while a further 25 customers in Goolds Cross, served by the Cashel station also have no power.
Yesterday’s storm saw Met Éireann issue a yellow wind warning for the county, which expired at 9pm last night.
Motorists are still being advised by Met Éireann to take care on the roads this morning as there may still be localised flooding across the county.
