Sligo town centre street to close to traffic for four months to facilitate works

Sligo County Council has given notice of intention to close Holborn Street to public traffic, from the junctions with Connaughton Road (L9002-0) and Stephen Street (R286).

The closure will be in effect from Thursday, March 26 until Friday, July 31 in order to facilitate works associated with the Sligo Public Realm Project.

Road users are advised the alternative route for traffic will be via R286 Connaughton Road and onto R286 Lake Isle Road.

Any person aggrieved by the proposed closure may lodge a written objection setting out the grounds therefor with Mr. Jim Molloy, Director of Services, Climate & Infrastructure, Sligo County Council, Riverside, Sligo before 5pm on Tuesday, March 3.
