Sligo Councillor calls for safety works to be carried out close to Owenmore River

South Sligo Councillor Dara Mulvey is calling for safety works to be put in place near the exposed fast flowing Owenmore river at Ranamore Coolaney along road L6104.

Outlining the need for the works to be carried out Cllr Mulvey explained, “This stretch of road which leads out to the main N17 can be slippery particularly in frosty weather and after heavy rain fall and some vehicles has come very close to entering the fast flowing river as the roadside bank of clay is not very high that is why I have it on the agenda for our next municipal meeting stated Cllr Mulvey. If some protection works were put in place it would provide peace of mind for the many motorists who travel this road daily.”
