An Post asked to address incorrect Eircodes

A motion before the March meeting of Sligo County Council has called on An Post to address the issue of accuracy with some Eircodes.

In a motion tabled by Cllr Dara Mulvey he said there were location and address issues with Eircode for some houses that needed to be adjusted.

Highlighting the difficulties he stated, “This is causing some delivery companies to get lost trying to find the exact locations.”

Cllr Mulvey remarked, “One gentleman in a rural area, the Eircode doesn’t bring you to the right house. It is something An Post need to look at again. This could cause delays.”

Supporting the motion Cllr Donal Gilroy noted, “My Eircode is correct but using google maps would bring you to my neighbour’s house.”
