€700,000 18th century Sligo period home seeks planning retention for extensions
The Sligo ChampionAn application for retention has been lodged with Sligo County Council by Arthur Livingstone in relation to Cuiltybar House, Coolaney.
The application seeks permission to retain the extension to the front and side of the house; to retain the extension to the rear of the existing outbuilding and to retain all associated site works.
The property which is located on 13.5 acres at Carrowleam, Coolaney is currently listed for sale by REA McCarrick and Sons with a valuation of €700,000.
The 18th century, five bedroom house which is still in need of further upgrade and modernisation works overlooks south and east facing gardens and also features a large tarmac courtyard and two old stables which could have the potential for residential redevelopment.
Sligo County Council have indicated a decision will be made by September 14.
