Claims Previous Consultation On Lahinch/Ennistymon Wastewater Plant Was 'Borderline Misleading'
It is claimed that a previous public consultation on the proposed wastewater treatment plant for Lahinch and Ennistymon was 'borderline misleading.' The West Clare MD plans to write to Uisce Éireann requesting a new non-statutory consultation on the project. Clare Senator Martin Conway has also called on the Government to instruct the water utility to conduct a new consultation. Ennistymon Fianna Fáil Councillor Shane Talty argues that the 2025 consultation did not accurately reflect Uisce Éireann’s preferred site for the plant, leading to a lack of public confidence in the project.
