Uisce Éireann moves to address water pressure problems in Dunboyne

By Sylvia Omorodion, Independent.ie

A meeting has been arranged with Uisce Éireann to address ongoing water supply problems affecting households in Dunboyne, Co Meath.

Residents in parts of the town have experienced intermittent low water pressure, particularly during periods of peak demand.

Uisce Éireann has said the disruption is limited to specific areas of Dunboyne rather than the entire water distribution network.

In correspondence to local elected representatives, the utility confirmed that dedicated “find and fix” leakage repair crews have been deployed to identify and repair leaks across the local supply network.

Pressure loggers were installed at key locations last week to monitor water pressure levels and to better identify areas experiencing ongoing issues.

The utility has invited local representatives to attend a briefing today, Thursday, January 22, from 3pm to 4pm.

The meeting will include members of both the operations and project teams, who will provide an overview of the current situation and outline proposed works to address the supply issues.

Representatives will also have an opportunity to raise questions on behalf of affected residents.
