Traffic-calming measures planned for two Navan housing estates

New traffic-calming measures are set to be introduced in two residential estates in Navan to improve road safety and reduce vehicle speeds.
At the December meeting of Navan Municipal District, councillors received an update on the proposed works.
In Oakleigh Estate, the plans include the installation of two speed cushions, with associated signage and road markings.
Meanwhile, in Boyne View Estate, a modular chicane is proposed, together with associated signage and road markings. Both measures are designed to enhance safety for residents and pedestrians.
Drawings and details of the schemes are available for public inspection at the offices of Meath County Council at Buvinda House in Navan during normal office hours until January 30, 2026, and can also be viewed or downloaded from the council’s website.
Members of the public are invited to make submissions or observations in writing or by email to the council’s transport department by January 30.
The local authority added that the implementation of both traffic-calming measures will be subject to funding.
