Storm Bram: Disabled parking in Meath closed amid Status Orange Wind Warning

The disabled parking area at Bettystown Beach in Meath will be closed due to the expected high tide and storm surge, Meath County Council has announced.
The parking area will be closed from 11 a.m. onwards today. The announcement coincides with a Status Orange Wind Warning issued by Met Éireann for most of the country in place today, December 9, from 11am.
The period is expected to bring strong and potentially disruptive winds across the region.
Authorities warn that the weather system may lead to flooding in low-lying coastal areas, especially around high tide, as well as wave overtopping along exposed coastlines.
Travel conditions may become hazardous, with the potential for debris and unsecured objects to be displaced by the strong winds.
Outdoor events are likely to be affected, and power outages may occur in some areas.
Residents are encouraged to take precautions, remain alert to changing conditions and follow official guidance.
