Plans lodged to turn vacant Navan unit into ‘sandwich bar’

Plans to transform a vacant retail unit in Navan Town Centre into a new “sandwich bar” have been lodged with Meath County Council.
The application, submitted by DTIL Limited, seeks permission to change the use of Unit 40, a 59.9 sq m ground-floor premises accessed from the internal shopping centre, from retail to a sandwich bar that will also include a sit-down dining area.
The unit, which fronts onto Kennedy Road, is currently vacant.
The proposal includes internal modifications to accommodate the new food outlet, along with both mall-side signage and external signage on the Kennedy Road south elevation.
All associated works required to complete the fit-out are included in the application.
If granted, the development would bring a disused unit back into operation and expand the food offering within Navan Town Centre.
The same developer recently lodged plans to convert another retail unit in the shopping mall into a GP surgery.
