Plans for a 30-bedspace hostel accommodation have been proposed for Meath.

Landstone Property Management Limited lodged a planning application with Meath County Council for the development at Flower Hill in Navan.

The proposal seeks to convert the ground floor of the proposed property, along with two existing storage units to the rear, into hostel accommodation containing 30 bed spaces.

The development also includes the allocation of five car parking spaces to the rear, with three spaces dedicated to the new hostel and two spaces retained for existing residential apartments on the first floor.

Plans propose the installation of new windows and doors into existing openings on the ground floors of Blocks A, B, and C, as well as the infilling of two existing window openings in Blocks A and C. Additional windows and doors are planned for Block C.

The scheme also set to provide 10 bicycle parking spaces, along with all associated internal, site, landscaping, and drainage works necessary for the project.

The application includes a request for retention of existing openings in various locations, including one door and multiple windows across Blocks A, B, and C.

If approved, the hostel development at Flower Hill will provide additional accommodation options in Navan, while making use of existing structures in the town centre.
