Plans lodged for 26-home development in Meath village

Plans have been lodged with Meath County Council for a 26-home residential scheme in Longwood.
Applicant Michael Weir submitted plans on February 9 seeking permission for a new residential development at a site within Longwood village.
The proposal centres on the construction of 26 homes and represents a mix of housing types designed to cater for a range of potential occupants.
The scheme includes 15 three-bedroom detached and semi-detached houses, alongside seven two-bedroom terraced units and four one-bedroom maisonette apartment units.
The application also outlines a range of supporting infrastructure and site works which include the provision of boundary treatments, services connections and a newly proposed entrance with an access roadway serving the development.
Plans also incorporate associated footpaths and a public amenity area intended to provide shared open space for residents.
As part of the proposal, the demolition of an existing hay shed and several outhouses and ancillary sheds on the site is required to facilitate the new development.
The application, which is now under consideration by the local authority, also covers all associated site works necessary to complete the scheme.
