Plans for 74-unit residential development in Meath approved

Plans for a 74-unit residential development in Meath have been given the green light.
Meath County Council granted planning permission to Lagan Homes for a new development on Fairyhouse Road in Ratoath. The scheme will include 66 houses and eight simplex/duplex apartments.
The houses will comprise 14 two-bedroom, 46 three-bedroom, and six four-bedroom semi-detached and terraced units. The standalone three-storey building will feature four one-bedroom and four two-bedroom apartments.
A new vehicular access and egress will be created off Fairyhouse Road. Associated site works include undergrounding of overhead ESB lines, installation of an ESB substation, public lighting, landscaping, and boundary treatments.
The application, submitted in July, also incorporated significant further information and revised plans before receiving approval.
The project is expected to provide additional housing in one of Meath’s rapidly growing towns and contributing to local residential expansion.
