Planned water outage to affect Slane and surrounding areas

Residents in Slane and surrounding areas are being advised of a planned water outage as Uisce Éireann carries out essential maintenance works at the Slane Beauparc reservoir.
The outage is scheduled to take place between 9am and 5pm today, July 17. It may also result in supply disruptions and reduced water pressure for affected customers.
Uisce Éireann said the works are necessary to maintain and improve the local water supply infrastructure.
Michael Cunniffe of Uisce Éireann acknowledged the inconvenience and thanked the public for their understanding.
“We understand the inconvenience caused by an interruption to supply. Every effort will be made to limit the impact of these essential works, and we would like to thank the community in advance for their patience and co-operation,” he said.
“Following the completion of the works, it can take two to three hours for the normal water supply to return as water refills the network, particularly for those properties on high ground or at the end of the network.”
Vulnerable customers registered with Uisce Éireann will receive direct notifications about the planned outage, in line with the company’s policy for any service disruption lasting more than four hours.
Meanwhile Uisce Éireann’s customer care team remains available 24/7 and updates can also be found on their social platforms or through the service and supply section on their website.
