Meath’s TFI Local Link increases daily services

Good news for commuters and residents in Meath as a TFI Local Link bus will be enhanced offering more frequent services around the county.
From this Monday, September 1, TFI Local Link Route 189 will now operate up to ten daily return services from Monday to Sunday, including peak-time and evening trips, between Navan, Trim, Longwood, and Enfield.
The upgrade is part of the Connecting Ireland Rural Mobility Plan, a nationwide public transport initiative run by the National Transport Authority (NTA) under the Transport for Ireland (TFI) Network.
The enhanced route will connect commuters to Enfield Train Station, Our Lady’s Hospital, Claremont Stadium, and other regional bus services.
Villages like Moathill, Elm View, Robinstown, Dunderry, Mornington, and Longwood will also benefit from better access to public transport, making it easier for residents to travel for work, school, or appointments.
The upgrade will also make it much easier for people to reach vital services such as Trim Primary Care Centre, Enfield Train Station, and Navan Hospital.
Richie Sheehy, Manager of TFI Local Link Louth Meath Fingal, said: “We are delighted to introduce the enhanced Route 189, developed through collaboration with the National Transport Authority to meet the growing demand for public transport.
“This long-awaited upgrade brings greater frequency, capacity, and connectivity. We believe that by improving access to the Enfield train station, Trim Primary Care Centre and Navan Hospital, it will make a lasting difference in people’s lives.”
