A community football club in Meath plans to improve its changing facilities.

Trim Celtic AFC submitted a planning application to Meath County Council seeking full permission for a range of upgrades at Tully Park, Dogstown, Trim.

The proposed development includes the demolition of two existing single-storey structures to make way for a new single-storey changing facility, which will feature two changing rooms, a meeting room, a referee’s changing room, an accessible public toilet, and a storeroom.

The plans also include the installation of floodlighting for the club’s two existing playing pitches as well as the training pitch, enhancing visibility for evening training and matches.

Additional works include a new wastewater treatment plant, a percolation area and rainwater soakaway, a permeable paved car park, and all associated site works.

Founded in 1967, Trim Celtic AFC is a community-focused football club with three senior teams and 43 underage teams.

Trim Celtic nurtures talent from as young as four years old through to senior-level football.

If approved, the upgrades would provide the club with modern, and equipped facilities to support its members.
