By Sylvia Omorodion, Independent.ie

Meath County Council has announced a public consultation regarding the proposed installation of new bus stop infrastructure along Boreen Keel in Navan.

The project, aimed at improving public transport access in the area, is being advanced under Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994 and Section 46 of the Public Transport Regulation Act 2009.

The scheme includes the provision of a new in-line bus stop adjacent to No. 6 and No. 7 Emmet Terrace in Navan. Proposed infrastructure will feature Kassel kerbs, road markings, a bus stop pole and flag, a carousel display unit, and protective bollards to enhance accessibility, safety, and visibility for bus users.

Plans and full details of the proposed works are available for public viewing from today, July 11, to Friday, July 25, 2025.

Those interested can inspect or purchase documents at Meath County Council’s Planning Department at Buvinda House in Navan.

The materials are also accessible online via the council’s consultation portal.

The council is also inviting submissions or observations on the proposed scheme from the public. Responses can be made through the consultation portal, by email, or by post.
