Meath council to launch €350,000 affordable homes in Meath village

Eight new affordable homes are set to come on the market in Co Meath as part of a new housing scheme in Rathmolyon.
Meath County Council, in conjunction with Rimford Developments Limited, will make these semi-detached homes available at Cherryvalley Park under the Affordable Housing Scheme.
The homes comprise three-bedroom semi-detached properties measuring 134 sq m, with prices ranging from €350,000 to €403,750. According to the local authority, the market value of the homes is €425,000.
Eligible applicants can purchase under the Affordable Housing Scheme, with a minimum equity share of 5pc and a maximum of 17.65pc. Household income limits are set at up to €92,844.
The final price paid will depend on an applicant’s income and mortgage capacity.
Rathmolyon is described as a village located within a cluster of towns including Trim, Summerhill, Kilcock, Maynooth and Enfield, with access to the M4 motorway providing links to Dublin city and Dublin Airport.
The development will feature A2-rated homes with air-to-water heat pumps, maintenance-free brick and painted render facades, and modern fitted kitchens.
The scheme forms part of ongoing efforts to increase affordable home ownership options across Co Meath.
The online application portal will open at 12 noon on Thursday, April 30, 2026, and will remain open until all units have been allocated.
