Construction to begin on accessible bungalows in East Meath village

Construction is set to begin on new two-bedroom bungalows in an East Meath village, addressing the growing demand for single-storey homes in the area.

The development at Blackhill Crescent in Donacarney aims to provide accessible housing for tenants with mobility needs and for those looking to downsize from larger properties.

“Small infill developments like this allow us to add homes with minimal disruption, helping residents stay close to their communities and support networks,” Meath County Council said.

“We are proud to partner with local contractor Showglade and look forward to future potential collaborations with them,” the local authority added.

The bungalows are part of ongoing efforts to increase accessible housing in Meath, supporting residents who require more accessible, ground-floor living and those seeking single-storey accommodation.
