In response to her query, KCC said via the report it presented at the meeting: “A Stage 3 Road Safety Audit was undertaken for the works on the Athgarvan Road.

“The works subject to the audit extended from approximately 30 metre north-west of the Athgarvan Road / Kilbelin Park T-junction to a point north of the access to the Little Harvard Belin Woods Creche.”

According to KCC, these works included:

“Following completion of the Stage 3 Road Safety Audit, a number of issues were identified, and appropriate remedial measures were undertaken,” KCC added.

Lastly, KCC confirmed to Cllr O’Dwyer, as well as the other councillors, that all measures arising from the audit have now been completed.
