Irish Rail spent €175,000 for refurbishment works at Bray (Daly) train station in 2024.

According to figures obtained by Social Democrats TD for Kildare North Aidan Farrelly, the company spent the money on demolishing the old station house which helped to facilitate works that transformed the station’s exterior into a new urban plaza.

The works, which are now finished saw the introduction of wider footpaths, safer crossing points and clearer cycling routes to the station alongside bike parking stands.

Separately €20,500 has been spent so far this year on upgrade works at the station in Greystones.

Over the past six months work has been ongoing to repair parts of the station building alongside gutter cleaning, gas checks, painting and decorating.
