New residential proposal for North Kerry
The KerrymanA Dublin-based developer has applied for planning permission to construct a new residential development in north Kerry, adjacent to an existing estate.
Atin Developments Limited plans to build 12 residential dwellings at Cahirdown Wood Estate near Listowel.
The site is bounded by Cahirdown Wood residential estate to the east, national road (N69) to the south, residential area to the west, and a green area to the north.
The roughly 0.4-hectare site would consist of eight semi-detached dwellings and four terrace dwellings along with roads, services and ancillary works.
Each residential unit is proposed to accommodate three bedrooms, with the required social housing contribution being handed over to housing association subject to planning.
While the number isn’t specified, Irish planning law requires developers to reserve up to 20pc of residential land or units for social and affordable housing.
A total of 24 parking spaces are also planned for the development.
Uisce Éireann has already confirmed that that both wastewater and water connections are feasible based on the existing Uisce Éireann infrastructure around the development area.
