Road Safety Message # 5
We all hope to avoid road traffic collisions whenever possible.
If you are unfortunate enough to be involved in a collision with any type of vehicle, the consequences can be serious.
The faster a vehicle is travelling, the greater the potential for serious injury or even death in the event of a collision.
The following information provides statistics illustrating the potential impact and damage that can occur at different speeds.
It is a reminder that even relatively low speeds can result in significant injuries, while the risk and severity of injuries increase considerably as speed increases.
