40th Anniversary of the Disappearance of Philip Cairns, 23rd October 1986
On the 40th anniversary of the disappearance of Philip Cairns on 23rd October 1986, Gardaí are renewing their appeal for information. Philip, aged 13, disappeared while walking home from school in Rathfarnham, Dublin. His schoolbag was found six days later. Over 1,600 lines of inquiry have been followed since his disappearance. Gardaí are appealing to the public for any information, no matter how small, and are encouraging those with knowledge to come forward.
