Man charged after Garda assaulted on Patrick Street in Cork
A man in his 30s was charged after a Garda was assaulted on Patrick Street in Cork city on the evening of Monday 6 July 2026.
Gardaí on a high-visibility patrol had stopped and spoken to the man when he became violent. The Garda needed hospital treatment and is off duty.
The man was arrested, held at a Garda station in the city and was due before Cork District Court on the morning of Tuesday 7 July 2026.
