Two charged after stolen car rams Garda patrol car in Glanmire
Two young men, one in his 20s and one in his late teens, were charged after a stolen car rammed a Garda patrol car in an industrial estate in Glanmire on the afternoon of Monday 22 June 2026, injuring a Garda.
Gardaí were responding to a report of a stolen vehicle at about 2.20pm. The female Garda was taken to Cork University Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The people in the stolen car ran off, and two men were arrested in a follow-up search of the area. They were due before Cork District Court on the morning of Tuesday 23 June 2026.
