Man charged after guns, cocaine and pipe bomb parts seized in Mallow and Cork city
A man in his 40s was charged after Gardaí seized three suspected firearms, ammunition and cocaine from a car at Lisanisky, Mallow, on the night of Tuesday 4 November 2025.
Gardaí said the vehicle had been acting suspiciously. Follow-up searches of a house in Cork city on 5 and 6 November found suspected shotgun cartridges, ammunition, pipe bomb components, firearm parts and more firearms. The Army bomb disposal unit attended.
The man was held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 and was due before a special sitting of the District Court in Cork city on Saturday 8 November 2025. The weapons were sent for forensic and ballistic examination.
