Galway city’s climate change festival is back for another year of celebrations marking the middle of the Summer season.

The Climate Inspirations Festival is back for another year of highlighting climate action and resolutions in the creative way only Galway knows how to do best, through art and community.

The family-friendly festival will see speakers like RTE’s ‘Build Your Own Home’ presenter Harrison Gardners and Maynooth Climatology professor John Sweeney, as well as acts from Sharon Shannon, Jiggy, and DJ Sally Cinnamon.

At the heart of the festival is the theme ‘Wild Atlantic Impact’, taking a look on how sustainability and climate affects the West.

A cocktail hour called the Climate Cocktail Club will commence on Friday, June 26 in the west end park hosting a variety of talks from the featured speakers.

“The Galway Climate festival is an opportunity for engagement with the public on climate action,” Galway City Council Chief Executive, Mr Leonard Cleary said.

“It also highlights both Galway City and County climate actions and promotes the excellent work in the community as concerns sustainability.’’

Galway City Council, and the Climate Inspirations Festival, received an award from the Chambers Ireland Excellence in Local Government in 2025 for Festival of the Year.
