Plans lodged for 71-home housing scheme in Ashbourne

A planning application has been lodged for a new 71-home residential development in Ashbourne.
The application, submitted by Apolloseven Investments Ltd, seeks permission for the construction of 71 two-storey houses on a site of approximately 2.1 hectares in the townland of Baltrasna, adjacent to the R135 Dublin Road.
The proposed scheme comprises a mix of housing types, including three two-bedroom units, 63 three-bedroom houses and five four-bedroom homes, in a combination of detached, semi-detached and terraced properties.
Vehicular access to the development is proposed via an adjoining residential development to the north, which has already been granted planning permission under a separate application and includes a permitted entrance onto the Dublin Road.
According to the planning application, the development would also provide for associated site works both above and below ground, including public open space, hard and soft landscaping, boundary treatments, surface car parking, bin and bicycle storage facilities, an ESB substation and public lighting.
The application site is located on the eastern side of Ashbourne, close to existing residential developments and within easy access of the town’s road network.
The planning application was lodged on December 12, 2025, and is now being considered by Meath County Council.
