Listen Back: Former site of dereliction and anti-social behaviour thriving as community garden

A former derelict site in Cavan town is thriving after being transformed into a community garden.
The Fairgreen Community Garden in Cavan Town has gone from strength to strength, after being a spot of illegal dumping and antisocial behaviour to a haven in the middle of Cavan Town.
Chairperson Theresa Walsh and Vice Chair Paul Lynch say the garden has become a place of healing and support for people, with facilities including poly tunnels, solar power, toilets and a community cabin.
The volunteers say they hope to continue developing the garden and encourage more people to make use of the space.
Sorcha Burke paid the team a visit.
