This is an update regarding a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on Glebe Street, Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo on 20th August, 2026 at approximately 4:20pm. The collision involved a car and a female pedestrian in her 80s, who was taken to Mayo General Hospital but later passed away from her injuries. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and anyone with camera footage, including dash-cam footage, from the N84 / Glebe Street area between 3:50pm and 4:50pm on the day of the incident to come forward. Those with information are urged to contact Claremorris Garda Station, the Garda Confidential Line, or any Garda Station.
