Witness Appeal – Serious Injury Road Traffic Collision, R280, Glenade, Co Leitrim, 18th August 2026

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious injury road traffic collision on the R280 Kinlough to Manorhamilton road at Glenade, Co Leitrim, on 18 August 2026. The incident occurred at around 2:45pm and involved a two-car collision. A man in his 80s, who was a passenger, was taken to Sligo University Hospital but later passed away. The female driver, also in her 80s, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Gardaí are seeking anyone who witnessed the collision or has camera footage, including dash-cam, from the area between 2:15pm and 3:00pm on that day.
