Man carried sleeping teen from tent and raped her

A man has been convicted and sentenced at the Central Criminal Court for the rape of a teenage girl at a rural gathering in County Leitrim in July 2020. The 27-year-old, whose identity is protected to safeguard the victim, was found guilty by jury verdict following trial in February 2022 of rape and oral rape charges dating to between 11 and 12 July 2020.
