Shed retention, garage converted to one-bed annex, dwelling modifications approved

Gerry Molloy has been given the go-ahead to keep a shed he built at the rear of his house in Oughterard, convert his garage into a one-bedroom annex, and make some changes to the main dwelling. The decision comes after previous planning permissions were granted for the garage conversion and house alterations.

Dwelling alterations and septic tank replacement with wastewater treatment plant

Gabrielle Ryan applied to upgrade the wastewater system at a house in Aughnanure, Laghtgannon near Oughterard. This involved replacing an old septic tank with a modern treatment plant and carrying out alterations to the dwelling. Galway County Council has refused the application.
