Xilinx Ireland sought an injunction over alleged trespass at the High Court on 15 June 2022, after caravans were brought onto its Saggart campus.
The company alleged that 25 to 30 caravans had been brought onto its lands without authorisation. It said occupants interfered with a water pump linked to its fire sprinkler system, rode quad-bikes around the car park, and left refuse, landscaping material and animal waste on the site.
Xilinx Ireland asked the court to require the occupants to leave and stop interfering with the lands. Justice Brian O’Moore allowed the company to serve short notice of the proceedings on Mr McDonagh and other unnamed occupants if they had not left by 9pm that day. He adjourned the matter to Friday.
