By Donal Gilhooly

This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

A Workplace Relations Commission adjudicator has rejected former TikTok team lead Mohur Saleh’s unfair dismissal claim, finding that he was selected for redundancy through an impartial process and not for personal reasons.

Saleh was among 24 team leads made redundant by TikTok Technology Ltd in April 2024, after a global restructuring affected 1,925 employees, including 289 in Ireland. The selection pool comprised 63 team leads; all 24 made redundant scored below 33 under criteria that included performance ratings, leadership principles, test results and disciplinary records.

Adjudicator Monica Brennan also found no evidence that Saleh was specifically excluded from applying for available roles during the redundancy period.
