WRC case over Delta Centre worker’s claims adjourned as anonymisation request remains under consideration

This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

The Workplace Relations Commission adjourned claims by former Delta Centre CLG employee Sandra Browne pending arrangements for hearing dates at its Carlow offices. Adjudication officer Brian Dolan said a previous agreement between the parties had not come to fruition and that the matter would proceed to a hearing.

The centre asked for reporting restrictions, citing sensitive issues involving service users and possible distress to their families. Dolan reserved his position and said he would consider the request before the full hearing; the hearing on Friday was public and not anonymous.

Browne’s statutory complaints include alleged penalisation and discrimination. The source reports that she was dismissed on April 29th, 2024; the allegations remain for hearing.
